Free Alcoholism Hotlines in North Dakota.

In a 2018 study published by USA Today titled America’s Drunkest States, North Dakota was at the very top of the list, ranked 1st. According to the study, 24.7%% of ND adults reported excessive drinking in the last month. That’s nearly one of every four adults. Worse yet, an overwhelming 46.7% of all in-state fatal automobile accidents involved alcohol. No other US state has binge drinking rates or DWI death rates as high.

Alcohol abuse is a prevalent issue in The Peace Garden State, but unfortunately, it’s the same story all across America. Fortunately, however, there’s plenty of free help out there for those in need. We want to share some of these resources with you. Alcoholism is a disease, and the cure begins with helping yourself. Let us help you do just that.

Alcohol Awareness Hotline

The website alcoholawareness.org sponsors a 24/7 hotline that offers free help to anyone suffering from alcohol abuse. Call 855-955-0771 to be connected to a specialist who will listen and help in any way possible. The site also offers direct links to helpful resources and support groups. Their mission is to raise awareness of alcohol abuse by means of offering free help and resources. Call today.

North Dakota 211 / DHHS Crisis Services

In a collaborative effort, 211 and the state’s Department of Health and Human Services offer around-the-clock assistance with substance abuse. Residents can dial 211 or text their zip code to 898211. Free Through Recovery

North Dakotans may also utilize Free Through Recovery, a statewide program designed to provide care coordination, recovery services, and peer support to those suffering from behavioral health issues including addiction.
