Free Alcoholism Hotlines in Nebraska.

In a 2018 study published by USA Today titled America’s Drunkest States, Nebraska ranked 9th. According to the study, 20.4% of Nebraska adults reported excessive drinking in the last month. That’s more than one out of every five adults. Worse yet, an astounding 35.6% of all in-state fatal automobile accidents involved alcohol. That’s more than a third. Sorry, but here’s another heartbreaker: 61% of Nebraskans between the ages of 18-25 reported abusing alcohol in the last month.

Alcohol abuse is a prevalent issue in The Cornhusker State, but unfortunately, it’s the same story all across America. Fortunately, however, there’s plenty of free help out there for those in need. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) sponsors Network of Care, which is designed to help state residents locate addiction services in their locale.
