Add to this the approximately 60 arrests daily in-state for DUI, and clearly, Kentucky has a drinking problem. Lexington suffers worst, with nearly 20% of adults reporting excessive drinking.

Don’t let the name fool you. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is available to all US citizens and provides plenty of resources for addiction recovery. Kentucky residents can call 800-950-6264 anytime Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, or can call 859-392-1730 anytime M-F, 10 AM to 2 PM. You’ll be connected with a specialist who will provide help.
