There are about 29.1 million people who live in Texas. According to recent data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 5.3 million Texas residents age 12 or older binge drink alcohol at least once a month. Call 855-955-0771 to be connected to a specialist who will listen and help in any way possible. The site also offers direct links to helpful resources and support groups. LMHA Mental Health Crisis Numbers
The Texas Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) offers an extensive list of 24/7 crisis hotlines based on LMHA (Local Mental Health Authority) location. The lines are available to all state residents suffering from any form of mental health issue, including alcohol abuse.
